Matson Spring Fling

Join the HAT community for a celebration of Spring and all things wild at the Matson Lands conservation covenant. The last Garry Oak Ecosystem remaining along Victoria's harbour, adjacent to the Song Walkway. There will be light restoration activities, to help keep this green place thriving with native plants and the weedy exotic species like Scotch Broom at bay. Tools, refreshments, training, and gratitude in good supply! Please bring some comfy outdoor clothes, water, and if you have your own loppers or working gloves, bring those too. We always welcome you to bring friends too. 

There will also be nature walk and talks with local hummingbird expert, Eric Pittman, and slug expert Kristiina Ovaska. As well as a hands-on workshop on how to draw wildflowers inlcuding demonstration of tips and techniques with local artist extraordinaire Joanne Thomson. Activities available for the whole family to enjoy.

Coffee will be generously provided by Caffe Fantastico.
