Get Kids Outside

Green Spots ProgramChildren are spending less time in nature, and its affecting their health, their connection to nature, and their understanding of the natural world. 

HAT is helping get kids outside by working with schools to establish Native Plant Gardens, and by sponsoring salmon run school programs at Goldstream Park.

If you are teacher, administrator, or have a child in school and you are interested getting kids involved in creating a native plant garden at your school through the Green Spots program, please read about the program to find out if its right for you.  If it is, please contact us!  

If you take your class on field trip to Goldstream Park, contact the Goldstream Nature House directly at 250 478-9414, or visit their website at www.naturehouse.ca.  If you would like to sponsor school field trips to the salmon run, consider becoming a Goldstream Chum.
