Good Neighbours: Craigflower Creek Stewards

Where is the Craigflower Creek Watershed?

Whether you live near a body of water or not, you live in a watershed! Learn more about watersheds here.

For this Good Neighbours project, HAT is looking to work with land stewards who live on or manage land within the Craigflower Creek watershed. The Craigflower Creek watershed encompasses the eastern portion of the Highlands and the majority of View Royal, including much of Mount Work Regional Park and Thetis Lake Regional Park! If you’re curious to see which watershed you live within, search your address on the CRD Regional Map, and use the “Layers” feature on the left to turn on the “Watersheds” layer (under “Water features and drainage”).

Good Neighbours Checklist - Craigflower Creek

Are you interested in a stewardship consultation? You may be a good fit for this program if:

  • You live within the Craigflower Creek watershed (east Highlands/View Royal, see map above). If you live outside of this watershed but you have meadow areas on your property, you may be eligible for our Oak and Prairie Project.

  • You live on or manage a site that has intact natural areas (forests, meadows, riparian areas, etc.)

  • Your site is larger than 1 acre

  • You are already working on land stewardship activities (invasive species removal, native species planting, wildlife stewardship, etc.) and would like support, OR you are beginning to learn about land stewardship and would like guidance and support

If your property does not meet one or more of these criteria, but you feel that it would be a good fit for our program, we’d love to hear from you! Please fill out the site visit request form, and we will contact you.
