Here’s How your Donation Makes a Difference:

1) CREATES MEANINGFUL JOBS

We are able to create meaningful jobs for young people in the environmental field that pay a living wage. With your support, we can also extend our field season into the autumn, keeping our field crew employed for longer!

2) RESTORES ENDANGERED PRAIRIE-OAK MEADOWS

Our field crew works to restore the ecologically and culturally significant prairie-oak ecosystems (Garry oak ecosystems) that are endangered in our region.

3) PROMOTES A CARING COMMUNITY

Our work cannot be accomplished without the support of our community, from our volunteers to our funders. This campaign helps us to build and strengthen these community ties.

Your Impact, in Action

In 2024, we were able to surpass our $60,000 goal with the incredible support of our community.

With this funding, we were able to:

Restore 121,408 square metres of prairie-oak habitat
Work at 39 ecologically significant sites across the region
Remove 397.5 cubic metres of invasive species
Provide paid training and professional development to our field crew
Work with 17 different partner organizations
And extend our field crew’s season, keeping them employed for longer!
