Lekwungen Community Toolshed Maplebank Restoration

Contribute to the invasive plant species removal and Indigenous plant reinstatement in the Songhees community. Volunteers are invited by Cheryl to assist in her restoration work including removal of Himalayan Blackberry, Broom and Daphne in an important coastal oak meadow restoration site in  lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) territory. Cheryl maintains communication with the Songhees Nation about these restoration events. Training, tools, gloves, and snacks will be provided.

HAT is supporting this restoration work and invites volunteers to respectfully assist.
