The historic place of HATs first land acquisition, the 2016 Ayum Creek Watershed Good Neighbours Project took place in the Ayum and Veitch watersheds and Sooke Community.
Did you know that Ayum Creek is a habitat for over 107 native plants and 80 bird species?
It is an important place for Coho Salmon, Otter, and amphibians as well as a historic clam harvesting site for First Nations.
Ayum Creek is fed by all water that drains down from its expansive watershed, the area of land that drains its water into the creek. Ayum Creek's Watershed is 13.7km squared
