Annual Member Lunch 2022
On Saturday August 20th we hosted our annual Member Lunch at Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary! Each year HAT hosts an event to give members the opportunity to gather in community at our Annual Member Lunch. This give us all the chance to socialize, to get to know each other, and to share stories. Over the last couple years we hosted ice cream socials instead of a lunch. This year, we were delighted to have our members join us for a sit down lunch again.
There were about 45 HAT members who joined for this event! We would like to thank Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary for providing a beautiful venue. It was a beautiful day and guests took pleasure in walking around the sanctuary. Members enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Red Barn Market, refreshing sparkling soda provided by Sparkmouth, live music performed by Nick Gubby aka Sparkly Flecks, a presentation from Katie Blake, HAT’s Executive Director, and members to shared stories about their time with HAT during our 25 years of community-based conservation. We loved hearing about the positive impacts that members have experienced from our work at HAT.
We hope you enjoy these photos from our member lunch!

Membership is one of the most important ways that you can support HAT. Every January members participate in HAT governance at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). These meetings give HAT board and staff the chance to report out on the previous year and express our vision for the coming year. Members choose either a tax receipt or HAT benefits - whichever suits you best!
